STRUGGLING TO WRITE CLIENT WINNING BLOG CONTENT?

You may already know that sharing regular blog posts is a great way to show expertise, authority and trust.

Well-written blog posts on your website can help answer customer questions. They can also provide opportunities to rank for more keywords.

But despite all the reasons to publish regular blog posts, it’s not always easy to find the time to write them.

That’s why I’ve created these 3 and 6 blog packages.

Angela Pickett Barossa Copywriter

HOW YOUR BLOG PACKAGE WORKS

Even if I’ve written a client’s website and am familiar with their business, writing a single blog just isn’t worth it.

It takes time to research the business, the topic and get the tone of voice right.

And besides, what’s the point of just one new blog on your website?

With a 3 blog package, you’ve got at least a quarter of the year covered. And if you then decide to go it alone, you’ve got 3 examples to work from.

Obviously we can extend the package or consider a retainer if you want to keep outsourcing your blog writing.

For most businesses, having 12-15 fantastic blogs is all you need. And by good blogs, I mean up-to-date, optimised, and relevant to your audience.

ONLY 3 BLOGS PACKAGES AVAILABLE EACH MONTH

I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO WRITE ABOUT

I get it. Coming up with new topics that are relevant for your ideal client, and show your expertise can be tough.

That’s why your blog package includes a research and a strategy document (aka plan).

I’ll look at the blogs on your website (if you have them), check out your competitors and do keyword research.

Then I’ll come up with 3-4 topic areas.

Once I’ve got those, I’ll include some blog topic suggestions.

At this point, we’ll have a discussion to make sure you’re happy with the approach. I’ll also get you to select the 3 or 6 blogs you want me to write as part of your package.

YOUR BLOG CONTENT PACKAGE INCLUDES

60 minute briefing discussion

Research on blog themes and topics

Content strategy plan with 3-4 blog themes

Competitor and keyword research

3 or 6 1500 word search engine optimised blogs

3-4 suggested social posts per blog

Image suggestions for each post

Professional proofreading

HATE WRITING BLOG POSTS?

You’re not alone.

As business owners, we know we need to add updated content to our website.

But it’s often easier said than done.

You’ve got to find an original idea, a fresh angle, do the research and then find time to write.

If writing is not your thing, it can seem like a massive chore.

That’s why I developed these content packages.

I’ll do the research, and write the blogs, leaving you to run your business and serve your customers.

BLOG PACKAGES FOR EVERY BUSINESS

It doesn’t matter what business you’re in.

Having well-research, interesting blog posts is a great way to engage your ideal client.

Show your expertise, authority and trust, showcase previous clients and success stories, and get found online.

No matter what you do, we’ll come up with a plan to create blog posts that will win over your clients (and make some great social media posts).

IT ALL STARTED WITH A BLOG

I’m Angela Pickett and as a service provider, I know how hard it can be to come up with new content for your website.

My copywriting career started when a blog I wrote about my son’s photoshopped teeth went viral. I realised, as parts of my blog were republished around the world, how much I enjoyed writing content.

Writing a blog is more than just blathering on about a topic.

To get the most out of your blogs, you need a plan, and that’s where I can help.

By working closely together, we’ll transform your ideas into logical, ordered arguments that make it easy for your clients to buy from you.

Looking for a copywriter who writes kooky, emoji filled copy peppered with the latest slang?

That’s not me.

But if you want a copywriter to deliver clear, honest advice and structured, straight talking copy, I can help.

After 15 years as a diplomat, a career change saw me trading the expat lifestyle for life in the Barossa Valley. Copywriting has been the perfect second career. You mightn’t think there’s much in common between negotiating trade agreements and writing copy for business.

But there is. Superior communications skills, attention to detail, the ability to connect with people and problem-solving skills make me an excellent copywriter.

If you’d prefer to work with someone that values substance over style, and is more grey hair (and experience) than glitter, I’d love to chat.

A client’s dream – delivers crisp, clever copy that’s ready to go.

“Angela is a thoughtful, creative copywriter with amazing attention to detail. Best of all, she genuinely listens. Even with a messy brief, an erratic client and an urgent deadline she takes on board all directions and implements them carefully, and clearly. And the copy? Well, it’s conversational, warm and entirely on brand.

She’s easy to work with, super-fast and just pleasant to deal with on a day-to-day basis. Honestly, she’s a bit of a client’s dream. She takes all the stress away and delivers crisp, clever copy that’s ready to go. Highly recommended.”

Listened to what I wanted and prepared great content

I’ve never used a copywriter before and didn’t really know what to expect. All I knew was that I was finding it increasingly difficult to get my newsletter blogs written on time.

Angela solved that problem for me. She really listened to what I wanted and prepared great content that I have been able to use for both my newsletters and social media posts.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Still got questions? Here are some of the questions I’ve had about my blog packages in the past.

But if you want to know something else, get in touch and we can set up a call.

Can't I just use AI to write my blogs?

AI is a super useful tool. It’s great for generating ideas, summarising content and even finding the right emojis for a post. But it has its downfalls. It can sound super over explained and wordy. Some of these tools only access content up to about 2021, so it’s not always accurate.

Do I need to fill in a brief?

Ideally, it helps if you can provide answers to a range of questions that help with keyword research and writing your copy. But I understand that writing them down can be hard. That’s why I’m happy to complete the brief with you over a Zoom call. I record this so I can go back and refer to it.

Why do you want to know about my competitors?

Understanding who your competitors are helps with keyword research. Seeing what their customers search for, can help me understand your customers. It also helps me get a feel for your industry, and write blogs that haven’t been written by others.

Do you have payment plans?

I invoice most projects in 2 instalments. But for larger projects, or projects with additional elements, I may break this down into multiple payments.

Can you provide photos?

While I have access to small library of stock photos, it’s better for you to provide your own. I’ll give you a list of key photos I think you should have on your website and help you create a shot list for a photographer.

Can you writer shorter blog posts?

I could. But that would be doing you a disservice. A longer post provides more opportunity to show your expertise and engage your reader. Of course, the quality of the content is the most important thing.

What has SEO got to do with blogs?

At its most basic, SEO – or search engine optimisation – is about writing copy that helps people searching on Google (or other search engines) find your copy.

Blog posts are a great way to drive traffic to your website. To learn more about SEO, check out this free course.

I’m overseas. Can I work with you?

Of course. The beauty of creating content is we can chat via email and I can send you videos. And while time zones can sometimes be tricky, it’s not impossible.

Why do you need me to sign a proposal?

Signing my proposal protects us both and protects your investment in your copywriting.

Is copywriting the same as copyright?

No. Copywriting is writing the words for your business. Copyright is about protecting those words.

Stop wasting your time trying to come up with ideas, researching and writing and get on with doing what you do best.

Imagine starting each month knowing you have fresh blog content to share in your newsletter and social media.

Not to mention, the buzz of new leads landing in your inbox after clients have engaged with your content.

THE FINE PRINT

To get the most out of your blog package, we need to collaborate.

You know your business and your clients best. Your blogs are a way to demonstrate your knowledge and expertise.

So, apart from the briefing session at the start, you’ll also need to review each version and provide feedback.
