The sales page copywriting process is pretty straightforward.
1. FIRST CHAT
Tell me about your project. I’ll confirm which package is right for you or provide a ballpark if you need something different.
2. PROPOSAL
This sets out the details of your project, your investment and my terms and conditions.
3. INITIAL PAYMENT
Once you’ve signed the proposal, I’ll invoice you for 50% of the project fee. Pay this, and we can get started. (I’ll invoice the final payment after the first draft)
4. PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS
This is our detailed timeline to keep the project on track.
5. BRIEFING AND RESEARCH
This is when I’ll find out everything I need to know about your product or service. You can either fill out the briefing document or we can jump on a video call to work through it.
6. WRITING THE COPY
This is a 3-step process, starting with an outline or skeleton draft. The first draft is usually 70% complete, while the second draft is about 90% done.
7. FINAL PROOFREAD VERSION
Get ready to load your polished and proofed copy onto your website. I’ll check it at this point to make sure it looks perfect.
8. PROJECT SIGN-OFF
This document transfers the copy to you. I’ll also ask for a testimonial, and your logo and photo so I can share your project.

Can you load the copy onto my website?
No. You need to do it yourself or get a website developer to do this. If you don’t have a website developer, I’m happy to recommend a couple of my preferred developers.
Can you design and build my sales page?
I’ll provide suggestions on layout, but I’m not a graphic designer or web developer. I work with a graphic designer and web developer, so if you need help to design and build your page, I’ll connect you.
Do I need to fill in a brief?
Ideally, it helps if you can provide answers to a range of questions that help with keyword research and writing your copy. But I understand that writing them down can be hard. That’s why I’m happy to complete the brief with you over a Zoom call. I record this so I can go back and refer to it.
Can you guarantee this will increase my sales?
Short answer – no. There are so many things that affect why you might not be selling your product, service or course.
Why is a sales page more expensive than a regular website page?
Sales pages include so many extra elements, and loads more content than a standard website page. A sales page is designed to answer all the questions a reader might have so they can book straight away.
Do you have payment plans?
I’m happy to split the cost of your project into 2 payments. You’ll need to pay an initial 50% before we get started, and I’ll invoice the remaining 50% when I send the first draft (due 7 days later).
I’m overseas. Can I work with you?
Of course. The beauty of creating content is we can chat via email and I can send you videos. And while time zones can sometimes be tricky, it’s not impossible.
Why do you need me to sign a proposal?
Signing my proposal protects us both and protects your investment in your copywriting.
Is copywriting the same as copyright?
No. Copywriting is writing the words for your business. Copyright is about protecting those words.
